Welcome to the community. It is lovely to have you here and I look forward to seeing your posts and I hope you find the forum useful and learn a lot from here, in shaa Allah

Regarding the best English translation of hadith; I will leave someone else to answer that instead who may know, in shaa Allah

In the meantime you may be interested in this hadith website I just came across. It seems really useful, ma’shaa’Allah.

I’ve found these to be exceptionally well produced and authoritative.

Wa alaykum salam, I would advice you to pick up some commentaries of ahadith such as fath al bari which is a commentary of Sahih Bukhari or Al-Minhaj bi Sharh Sahih Muslim a commentary of Sahih Muslim.
They are explanations of ahadith. Sometimes it’s hard to put into context what the hadith is saying reading directly. Hope that makes sense.

I love commentaries and I recommend them for everyone!! I find the older the commentary, the clearer the understanding, too. As time moves forward and we get further from Rasoolalla, scholars have to fight harder to make things clearer.
