The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah

Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters

I pray that all are well in shaa Allah

This is just a quick reminder that Dhul Hijjah is here. Alhamdulillah, and the first 10 days of it are the best for doing righteous deeds and giving charity. Better than any days of the year, even Ramadan.

The first 9 days, especially the Day of Arafat (for those not performing Hajj) are best for fasting. The 10th day is Eid ul Adha, in shaa Allah, so fast is forbidden on that day. Eid is a day of celebration. For those who fast on the Day of Arafah; their minor sins from the previous year and the coming year are wiped out, in shaa Allah. However, according to Mufti Menk, the major sins require a specific repentance for.

During these first 10 days; it is recommended to do plenty of tawbah (repentance and seeking forgiveness of Allah), reciting The Qu’ran, doing our obligatory acts without neglecting them, giving in charity (including the way we present ourselves to others in our manners and characteristics), dhikr of Allah “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. La illaha illAllah. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar… etc etc”

“SubhaanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Astaghfirullah, La howla wala quwwata ila billah” etc

Forgive others and ask for forgiveness.

May Allah make it easy for us and accept our righteous deeds off us and efforts, and forgive us of all of our sins, committed knowingly and unknowingly, intentionally or unintentionally, singularly or repeatedly, major or minor, whether there’s a few or many. Even if it was to cover everything on the face of the heavens and earth and everything above and below that, and between that. May He, Ar Rahman Raheem Al Ghaffar Ghafoor Afuww, wipe them all out and replace them with good deeds heaped up, and may He answer our duas and help our needy brothers and sisters, and take away their pain and suffering, and replace it with His barakah, hope, rahma :palms_up_together:t3::palms_up_together:t3:
